WealthSorted started with a simple observation. Every Australian deals with super, tax, insurance and, eventually, Centrelink. Yet almost everything written about them is one of two things: a sales funnel in a friendly font, or a government page drafted by a committee. (It was. You can tell.)

So we write the missing middle. One email a week, about five minutes long, one topic done properly. What the move to 12% super guarantee is actually worth in dollars. How franking credits hand company tax back to shareholders. Why the assets test taper can make an extra $100,000 in savings feel pointless. The default life cover inside your super that you never chose but pay for every month. Real numbers, current rules, plain English, and the odd laugh at the industry's expense, never at yours.

Who it's for

Anyone with a super balance, a payslip, a share portfolio, or a parent asking about the Age Pension. You don't need to know what a concessional cap is. That's the point: by the end of the relevant email, you will, and it'll have taken five minutes instead of an afternoon on the ATO website.

What you get

  • Superannuation: contributions, caps, fees, fund comparisons, and the rules that quietly change every July
  • Investment: shares, ETFs, dividends, franking credits, and the tax wrapped around all of it
  • Insurance: life, TPD and income protection, inside super, outside super, and the fine print between
  • Retirement: how much you actually need, drawdown maths, and the transition years
  • Centrelink: the Age Pension, both tests, deeming, and the strategies that are actually legal
  • Calculators and data: six calculators built on real 2025-26 rates, and a numbers hub where every figure is dated and sourced

No products. No commissions. No “wealth journeys”. Just the rules and the maths.

What we'll never do

  • Sell you a financial product. There's nothing here to buy. Check the back room if you like. It's empty.
  • Take commissions or run sponsored content. If we ever mention a product category, nobody paid for the privilege.
  • Give you personal advice. Everything here is general information, and the difference matters. More on that below.
  • Pretend big decisions are simple. When getting it wrong would genuinely hurt, we'll be the first to tell you to pay a licensed adviser for an hour of their time.
  • Sell your data or spam you. One email a week. Unsubscribe whenever, no guilt trip.

The general advice line, and why we stay behind it

Here's the rule: general advice tells you how the system works; personal advice tells you what to do with your money. We don't know your income, your debts, your fund or your plans, so nothing on this site accounts for them. “Here's how the assets test works” is our lane. “Here's what you should do about it” belongs to a licensed adviser who has actually met you. We take that line seriously, because the publications that don't are exactly the problem we exist to fix.

Say hello

Questions, corrections and topic requests all go to hello@wealthsorted.com.au. Reader questions drive a good share of what we publish, so if a rule confuses you, it's confusing thousands of other people who haven't emailed yet. Be the one who emails.

The obligatory fine print: WealthSorted provides general information only. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs, and is not personal financial advice. Consider whether the information is appropriate for your circumstances, read the relevant PDS or disclosure documents, and speak to a licensed financial adviser before acting.
